The Moonbeam Foundation is pleased to announce that the Moonriver crowdloan is now open for pre-registration. Visit the crowdloan pre-registration site to get started.

The Moonriver crowdloan pre-registration process is a way for individuals who intend to participate in the crowdloan to register their KSM address and complete the Moonriver Crowdloan Terms and Conditions in advance, before the crowdloan officially opens. Since the start of the crowdloan itself may happen quickly and is dependent upon Parity — who is expected to formally announce the schedule for slot auctions shortly — this provides community members with a way to complete part of the process beforehand.

Individuals can pre-register on the Moonbeam Foundation website with the KSM address they intend to use for the crowdloan itself. Users will not need to commit to a crowdloan amount yet, and the address does not need to have the full KSM available. However, there will need to be a small balance of KSM (around 0.00014 KSM, which is equivalent to about $0.05 USD), in order to sign the transaction.

Agreeing to the Moonriver Crowdloan Terms and Conditions is mandatory to participate in the Moonriver crowdloan.

The Moonriver crowdloan will be available in two ways: through a DApp created by the Moonbeam Foundation (which will be available when the crowdloan opens), or through approved third-party exchanges like Kraken. Pre-registration through this DApp is necessary only if you plan to participate via the Moonbeam Foundation DApp. If you change your mind, or decide to use a different KSM address, you will need to repeat the pre-registration process.

If you would like to be notified when the crowdloan opens, please subscribe to email updates.

See this tutorial for an overview of how to complete the pre-registration process.

If You Are New to Moonriver:

Moonriver is a community-led sister parachain to Moonbeam that will launch on the Kusama network. Like its sister network Moonbeam, the Moonriver smart contract platform features complete Ethereum compatibility that goes beyond the EVM, making it easy to use popular Ethereum developer tools to build or redeploy Solidity projects in a Kusama-based environment.

Moonriver will use a crowdloan to fund its auction bid for a Kusama parachain slot. Notably, the Moonbeam Foundation has allocated 30% of the Moonriver network (3,000,000 MOVR tokens) to reward Moonriver crowdloan contributors.
Please visit the Moonriver crowdloan page for additional information on the Moonriver crowdloan and how to participate.
