Remember, this time last year? Moonbeam’s “Moonrise” was going through a major rebrand. It’s been a complete rollercoaster ever since and so many new teams and users have been successfully onboarded through Gaming, RWAs, DeFi, and Bridging portals to name a few .
Not surprising, we’ve seen massive growth in the gaming community. wWith the addition of Olderfall Go to page [object Object]and Data2073Go to page [object Object], the N3MUS hubGo to page [object Object] is killing it with their weekly tournaments. Gaming is becoming home for creators, developers and casual retail traders. This is only just the beginning to what we’ve got in store.
Here’s what happened in the last 30 days…
Miami Mega Week
Polkadot made quite the wave during Miami Mega Week, a weekend-long event series hosted by Polkadot’s UK ambassador Lucy Coulden. Moonbeam co-sponsored a lunch and learn with local org BitBasel. Held in South Beach—right across from the Emerge conference—Polkadot and Moonbeam community members filed through Moonlighter Labs.
The panel lineup was stacked:
- Lucy Coulden – Moderator, Polkadot Ambassador, and Producer of Polkadot Mega Week
- Zoe Fox – Founder of Clarys.AI, music enthusiast
- Mr. Darius – Top 10 Music Artist, Digital Artist, and Published Author

- DJ Drasen – Miami-based DJ, Producer, and Web3 community leader
It was amazing to hear everyone’s stories of how they came across Moonbeam—and to witness the GLMR in their eyes. The conversation ranges from using AI to create music to learning how creators can become even more deeply intertwined into Web3 with NFTs.

On the technical side, we’ve been making major updates to how developers navigate the Moonbeam ecosystem. Kevin Neilson from Papermoon hosted a workshop on AI agents and building smart contracts with 0xGasless. The team demoed their new dashboard for deploying smart contracts using an AI agent.
Developer Education
Everyone is wondering what the key differences of Polkadot Hub and Moonbeam are, and it’s with great pleasure we release an education article that dives into the details for solidity developers. Overall, asynchronous backing served as the foundation for allowing Moonbeam to reduce its block time from 12 seconds to 6 and now with the introduction of Agile Coretime enabled better utilization of validation resources, it’s paving the way for the upcoming release of Elastic Scaling.
All this to say, aligning Moonbeam, Polkadot and any other parachain on Polkadot to scale beyond a single core or validation slot is key. Moonbeam is also bringing storage interoperability to Polkadot and Ethereum with the launch of DataHaven in the fall.
